04 Sep Save with your own jar
IMPORTANT NOTE
This policy has been temporarily suspended for the health of all concerned — we will reinstate the policy as soon as permissible by relevant authorities. Thank you for your understanding.
We already started “save with your own cup” — now let’s go a little bit further.
There are three great reasons to bring your own jar or other container to our coffeehouses when you want to bring coffee home or to work…
1 – Save your money. For an equivalent weight of whole or ground beans, bring you own container and save 10%!
2 – Save your environment. There’s less trash in our landfills, rivers and lakes when you reuse your jar.
3 – Save your conscience. Every time you avoid single-use packaging, you’re helping prevent waste from Chicago landfills. Doesn’t it feel good?
Important: our Save With Your Own Bag policy means 10% off a 12-oz. quantity of whatever coffees are in bulk stock in each shop (i.e., not already individually bagged on the shelf) when you bring your own container.
Bring a suitable container capable of holding 12 ounces of weight — equal to about one liter of volume. Ask your barista what’s available, and save 10% off the regular price of packaged coffee beans.
We’ll even grind your coffee the way you like. (Please note that ground coffee takes up less volume that whole beans — but they weigh the same 12 ounces.)
